Smart Works Edinburgh celebrates International Women’s Day image
Join us at Cannonball Restaurant & Bar for an evening of inspiring talks, delicious food & conversation

Thursday 9th March 2017; 19.00hrs – 21.00hrs

We are delighted to announce a very special evening to mark International Women’s Day, to support our work in helping women in need get back to work by providing interview clothes, styling advice and interview training.

Join us on Thursday 9th March for a delicious feast at the beautiful Contini Cannonball, and hear from two very inspiring women.

Helen Holt, front line manager of Ratho House, the female residential arm of Her Majesty’s Prison Service, Edinburgh, will share her unique and powerful insight into life for women in prison, and share positive stories of their paths to rehabilitation. Helen has been working in the field for more than 15 years and this will be a rare opportunity to gain a first-hand understanding of her work.

In contrast, you will hear from Merryn Somerset Webb, Editor in Chief of Moneyweek,the UK’s best-selling financial magazine, about her life as one of the UK’s leading experts in the field. As a columnist for the Financial Times, Saga, The Spectator, a regular TV and radio commentator on all things financial, she will share her journey to success and provide a fascinating insight into this demanding world.

Tickets cost £30 and include a two-course dinner and glass of wine. Please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of booking. £5 of the ticket price will go towards Smart Works Edinburgh. There will also be a raffle with some fantastic prizes.
